How long are therapy sessions?
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. This provides enough time for to work toward meaningful change without feeling rushed.
Is therapy right for me?
Many people begin therapy during periods of stress, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, burnout, grief, pregnancy or postpartum adjustment, or major life transitions. Others come simply because they want to better understand themselves, improve relationships, or feel more grounded and fulfilled in everyday life.
You do not need to be in “crisis” to benefit from therapy. Many clients begin counseling unsure exactly what they need or what their goals are — and that is completely okay. Therapy can provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to gain clarity, heal old patterns, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change.
Whether you are looking for individual therapy, couples counseling, or postpartum support in Houston, the process is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs and goals.
What is couples therapy like? Am I going to be blamed or told I’m a bad partner?
This is one of the most common concerns people have before starting couples counseling. Couples therapy is not about assigning blame, deciding who is “right,” or proving that one person is the problem.
Instead, therapy creates a safe and supportive environment where both partners can feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we explore patterns that may be causing disconnection, conflict, resentment, or hurt, while working toward healthier communication, deeper understanding, and stronger emotional connection.
Many couples seek therapy to reconnect during stressful life stages such as pregnancy, postpartum, parenting young children, infidelity recovery, or simply feeling emotionally distant from one another. The goal is not perfection — it is helping couples move toward a healthier, more connected and satisfying relationship.
