About Kim Jones, MA

Kim Jones, MA is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Houston, TX.  She received her Master of Arts degree in Family Therapy from the University of Houston, Clear Lake in 2013.

In individual psychotherapy and counseling, Kim helps people to work through a variety of presenting problems, including depression, anxiety, pregnancy and postpartum related issues, relationship difficulties, substance abuse recovery, grief, trauma, and family of origin issues.

Although she has worked with couples in all stages of relationships, Kim has extensive training (as a Certified Gottman Institute Bringing Baby Home Educator) and experience working with couples looking to improve or maintain intimacy during pregnancy, postpartum, and while raising small children.  Kim also enjoys supporting couples who are recovering from infidelity, betrayal, or other injuries to the relationship.

In addition to her work in private practice, Kim also also currently works as Associate Clinical Director at The Center for Postpartum Family Health. Kim’s past experience includes working as Director of Teen and Family Services of The Woodlands, as well as a clinical internship working with children, adolescents, and adults at Depelchin Children’s Center and The University of Texas Health Science Center.

Kim does professional speaking in the Houston area on topics including self-care, addiction recovery, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and relationships.  She has been featured on Houston KHOU news, and has presented on the topic of relationship health after children at Postpartum Support International conferences.
